Description

Molaton MRC-S150070-D Rail Grinder Wheel Product Description

Molaton rail grinding wheel
Molaton MRC-S150070-D: Dual-Step Bore for Zero-Runout Turnout Grinding
The Molaton MRC-S150070-D a high-precision 150×70mm grinding wheel engineered for direct mounting on Geismar and Robel 150 Model handheld grinders. It features a dual-step bore with outer diameter 20mm, inner diameter 34mm, and step width 18mm, ensuring perfect concentricity (<0.05mm) without flanges or adapters.

This design eliminates vibration and runout during operation, enabling precise edge control on switch points and frogs in demanding field conditions. Reinforced with glass fiber and featuring a 20-grit zirconia-alumina (ZA/A) resin-bond abrasive, the wheel delivers consistent cutting performance and extended service life at 50 m/s.

Ideal for urban rail, metro systems, and maintenance teams requiring accuracy and reliability in turnout repair applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which machines does this wheel fit?

It is matched to Geismar and Robel 150 series grinders. Please confirm the flange interface or bore against your machine manual before ordering, because the same overall dimensions do not always mean the same wheel.

What is the maximum operating speed?

50 m/s. Always follow your machine manual and never exceed the speed marked on the wheel.

Is this a standard size, and is it in stock?

Yes. This is a standard production size and is held in stock for immediate dispatch. Custom bores, grades and dimensions are produced to drawing, typically in 15 to 30 days.

Which rail defects does this wheel remove?

Weld bead and seam dressing, rust and scale removal, minor profile correction and burr removal on switch and crossing work.
