China-Europe freight train and European international railway updates

• By early June 2026, the Eastern Corridor (Suifenhe, Manzhouli, Tongjiang) had operated over 3,000 trains, accounting for 32.1% of the national total, with return trains accounting for 41.1% of the national total.

• In May, a total of 1,719 trains and 180,000 TEUs were operated, representing year-on-year increases of 15% and 11% respectively; the cross-Caspian Sea route has become regularized, mitigating the risks associated with Red Sea shipping fluctuations.

• The network connects to 235 cities in 26 European countries and 100 cities in 11 Asian countries, with a cumulative total of over 130,000 trains and a cargo value exceeding US$520 billion.

The Hungary-Serbia Railway (a model for Central and Eastern Europe)
