China Railway Chengdu Group Co., Ltd. Shanghai-Wuhan-Chengdu High-Speed Passenger Corridor

Summary

This inspection project provided China Railway Chengdu Group with accurate line condition data, offering scientific basis for Shanghai-Wuhan-Chengdu Railway maintenance.

China Railway Chengdu Group · Yichang-Wuhan Section Inspection Project

Project Overview

RailwayCare provided comprehensive rail inspection solutions for the Shanghai-Wuhan-Chengdu Railway Yichang-Wuhan section under China Railway Chengdu Group. The Shanghai-Wuhan-Chengdu Railway is a crucial east-west high-speed passenger corridor in China, connecting the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, with over 200 EMU pairs operating daily and annual passenger volume exceeding 100 million.

The Yichang-Wuhan section spans approximately 320 kilometers, traversing the Jianghan Plain with complex geological conditions and a high proportion of bridges and tunnels. With increased operation time and train density, systematic inspection and evaluation of track geometry, rail profile, and line smoothness were required.

Professional Inspection Equipment & Technology

To meet high-speed railway inspection requirements, RailwayCare deployed internationally advanced professional inspection equipment:

Railway Inspection Vehicle

Railway Crack Detection Car

Railway Profiler

Rail Wear Gauge

Inspection Results

Through systematic inspection, RailwayCare helped China Railway Chengdu Group identify the following key issues:
⚪  Abnormal Rail Wear: 28 rail profile abnormal points (mainly in curved sections)
⚪  Track Geometry Out-of-Tolerance: 45 track geometry out-of-tolerance points (gauge, cross level deviations)
⚪  Track Smoothness Issues: 63 track smoothness problem points (long-wave longitudinal level, alignment issues)
⚪  Rail Surface Fatigue Cracks: 20 rail surface fatigue cracks
⚪  Fastening System Problems: 35 fastening system problem points
Based on inspection data, RailwayCare provided detailed maintenance recommendations and priority ranking, helping China Railway Chengdu Group develop scientific maintenance plans.
